Cheesy Artichoke Bread – quick artichoke dip stuffed into french bread. Great for parties or a side dish! Butter, garlic, artichoke hearts, sour cream, mozzarella, parmesan, and cheddar cheese. Can assemble ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake and serve. You might want to double the recipe. This never lasts long!
This Cheesy Artichoke Bread is a new favorite! OMG! Cheesy artichoke dip baked on top of a loaf of french bread. It is great as an appetizer or side dish. It is loaded with tons of cheese and garlic – two of my favorite things! We ate this last weekend as a pre-game snack before a football game and it was a huge success.

Pin This RecipeThis bread is super easy to make. Start with making the quick artichoke dip filling. Melt some butter in a skillet. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Toss in some chopped artichoke hearts, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and sour cream. Stir and set aside to cool.
Cut a loaf of french bread in half and scoop out some of the bread. Spread the artichoke filling on top of the bread and top with MORE CHEESE! Pop it in the oven and that is it!
You can assemble the bread ahead of time and refrigerate it until you are ready to bake and serve. As I said, this was a HUGE hit at our football party. Everyone loved it. I can see why – you can never go wrong with artichokes, garlic, and CHEESE!

- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 (14-oz) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 (16-oz) French bread loaf
- salt and black pepper, to taste
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the artichoke hearts, Mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese and sour cream. Stir to blend. Remove from the heat and cool.
- Slice the bread lengthwise and scoop out some of the center. Spoon the artichoke mixture evenly into the bread shell and sprinkle with the cheddar cheese. Place each half on a baking sheet and cover lightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 5 to 8 minutes or until the cheese melts completely. Cut into slices and serve warm.
