Quiche is one of our favorite foods. We eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I am always coming up with new flavor combinations. This BBQ Chicken Quiche was inspired by my favorite sandwich, the Smokehouse Chicken Wrap from Roly Poly. It is loaded with chicken, bacon, cheese, and BBQ sauce. SO good!
How to Make Quiche from Scratch
Quiche is very easy to make. Start with a pie crust. You can use a frozen or homemade pie crust. Either is just fine. Next, toss some cooked chicken and bacon with BBQ sauce. Place it in the bottom of the pie crust and top with shredded cheese. Whisk together eggs, heavy cream, and sour cream. Pour over chicken and cheese and bake.
You can make this quiche ahead of time and freeze unbaked for later. Simply thaw the quiche in the refrigerator before baking as directed below.
To cut down on the prep time, I used rotisserie chicken and pre-cooked bacon. Feel free to add some mushrooms and onions to the filling. I also add green onions sometimes.
Doing low-carb or a keto diet? Use a sugar-free BBQ sauce and skip the crust. Bake the filling and egg mixture in a lightly greased pie plate. This would also be gluten-free without the crust.
What to Serve with Chicken Quiche
This BBQ Chicken Quiche was a huge hit at our house. We ate it for lunch and leftover for dinner on the same day. YUM! It is a great recipe to use up any leftover smoked or grilled chicken you might have on hand. This is a pretty filling casserole, so you don’t need a lot to go with it. We usually serve it with a salad and maybe a roll. Here are a few of our favorite recipes from the blog that go great with this quiche:

Do I need to thaw the crust first?
No
This also can be a great low carb meal by making it crustless. Eliminate the pie crust and increase the eggs to 6.
Why increase the eggs?
Would I still bake it as long without the crust?
Thank you 💕
