BBQ Ham Sliders on Hawaiian Rolls
Easy Ham Sliders on Hawaiian Rolls
These BBQ Ham Sliders are one of my favorite sandwiches! Ham cooked in a quick homemade cola BBQ sauce piled on top of Hawaiian rolls with cheese. YES PLEASE!!! We love these for lunch or dinner. They are also great for parties, potlucks, and tailgating. All you need is a quick side dish or some chips and you are set!
How to Make BBQ Ham Sliders with Cola BBQ Sauce
I used deli ham from the grocery store for these BBQ Ham Sliders. I like to have the deli shave the ham so it is falling apart. I used cheddar cheese on the sliders. Feel free to swap the cheddar for swiss, pepper jack, or your favorite cheese. As long as you like the type of cheese, these sandwiches will be delicious!
The homemade BBQ sauce is very simple to make. There are only 5 ingredients and it only takes about 5 minutes to make. Can’t beat that! I used regular Coke. I haven’t tried this with diet drinks. I think the sauce needs the sugar from the regular coke.
Can BBQ Ham Sliders be Made Ahead of Time?
Absolutely! These BBQ Ham Sliders can be assembled ahead of time and baked when ready to serve. I either put the sandwiches in a pan and cover with foil or just wrap the assembled sandwiches in a big piece of aluminum foil. If baking after refrigerating, you may need to add a few minutes to the cooking time.
Can I Freeze These BBQ Ham Sliders?
I haven’t frozen these sandwiches, but I think they would freeze just fine. Assemble the sandwiches and wrap them tightly with freezer wrap and foil. When ready to bake, just thaw completely in the refrigerator and bake as directed below.
