BBQ Pineapple Meatballs Recipe – only 3 ingredients!
This time of year everyone is looking for quick and easy party food for the holidays. Nobody wants to slave over the stove and make party food all day! The holidays are hectic enough without worrying about party food. These BBQ Pineapple Meatballs are quick, easy and super delicious! My three favorite things!
This recipe only has 3 ingredients – frozen meatballs, BBQ sauce and 100% DOLE® Canned Pineapple Juice. I used a honey chipotle BBQ sauce to give the meatballs a little kick. The 100% DOLE® Canned Pineapple Juice gave the meatballs a little sweetness and mellowed out the chipotle BBQ sauce. We loved the flavor!
We really love using pineapple juice in all types of recipes. 100% DOLE® Canned Pineapple Juice is so versatile. We love it in smoothies, punch, cocktails, and marinades. We often swap it out for orange juice in recipes. We always have a six-pack in the pantry.
These quick BBQ Pineapple Meatballs can be made on the stovetop in about 20 minutes or simmered for a few hours in the slow cooker. To make the meatballs more festive, I served them on top of some puff pastry cut out in the shape of a star. Perfect for the holidays. If you aren’t looking for holiday party food, you can serve the meatballs over some rice or noodles for a quick meal. Either way, you should make these BBQ Pineapple Meatballs. They are delicious!!
