Bisquick Sausage Breakfast Casserole

Anyone else not a morning person? This recipe is perfect for us! You can make this the night before and just pop it in the oven when you wake up and then hop back in the bed while it bakes.

This breakfast casserole was really good. Chicken Legs could have eaten it all himself. I might double the cheese next time – a little extra cheese never hurt anything! It is a great breakfast recipe if you have overnight guests. We had this for breakfast, but I think it would be really good for dinner too.

Easy Do-Ahead Egg and Sausage Bake

This casserole is super easy to make. Start with browning some sausage. I used a roll of Jimmy Dean sausage. You can use any brand or flavor of sausage that you prefer. Place the cooked sausage in a baking dish. Top the sausage with cheese. Mix together eggs, milk, Bisquick, oregano, and dry mustard. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage. Cover the casserole and refrigerate a few hours to overnight.

If you are short on time you can bake this casserole right away. I’ve made it both ways and it tastes great baking right away or refrigerated. I love make-ahead casseroles. Such a time saver!!!I

  1. I love this. I think it's called Pennsylvannia Dutch or something like that. We make it for Christmas morning because it makes the house smell so good and you make it the night before.

Don't you love how it fills you up?
