I’m having a hard time with my peas not getting done, I was not supposed to cook them ahead was ? …been cooking for 7:00 hours
No, the frozen black eyed peas don’t take very long to cook. I’ve never had an issue with the black eyed peas taking that long.
Can you make this on the stovetop as opposed to slow cooker?
sure!
Can you use dry black eye peas instead of frozen? Or is it just easier to toss the frozen in? They won't get mushy? I've never used frozen before, but we love them and I am totally intrigued with using in chili as opposed to kidney beans. Lol Thanks!
You would need to adjust the cooking time and maybe the liquid to use dry. The frozen peas didn’t get mushy in my chili
I don't know that i've ever had black eyed peas – but this looks really good! i'm in!
Are you kidding me? I should have made you try them when you were down here!
