Make sure to press the dough up the sides of the pan.Top the crescent rolls with cooked sausage, shredded hash brown potatoes, and cheese. Helpful Tips & Frequently Asked Questions
- I used Jimmy Dean sausage. You can use any brand or flavor of sausage that you enjoy.
- For a lower-fat recipe, use turkey sausage, reduced-fat crescent rolls, and 1 cup of Egg Beaters.
- It is very important to make this pizza in a rimmed pizza pan. Press the dough up the sides of the pan and create a rim around the pizza. If you don’t, the egg will run off the crust and make a huge mess in the oven. Trust me on this one!
- Don’t have a rimmed pizza pan? You can bake this recipe in a 9×13-inch rimmed baking sheet.
- You can use any cheese that you prefer in this recipe. Cheddar, pepper jack, or mozzarella are all great.
- Can substitute Pillsbury pizza dough for crescent rolls.
- What other toppings can I add to the pizza crust?
- green onions
- green pepper
- red bell pepper
- white onion
- olives
- Don’t like sausage, you can use your favorite breakfast meat instead. Leftover ham and bacon are equally delicious.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Reheat in the air fryer or in the oven.

Breakfast Pizza is a great dish. Have you ever done Breakfast Burritos? They're good, too. So happy to see that you used my FAVORITE bulk sausage in the whole big world: Jimmy Dean. Go, Jimmy!
That pizza looks gorgeous!
Gemstone81 – I love the idea of a Mexican Breakfast Pizza. I will be giving that a try soon!
Breakfast pizza for me is normally of the Papa John's variety, but this looks so much better.
We make this when we have company, but I also spoon a little salsa over the hashbrowns and sausage before I add the eggs and top with a Mexican Blend cheese. Very awesome!! Since you like mexican flavors, you should give that a try!!
Really never ever thought about a breakfast pizza.
This just reinforces my belief that it's always a good time for pizza. 🙂 Incredibly tempting photo.
