This Broccoli Cranberry Slaw is another recipe adapted from my favorite little cafe/bakery in town. This veggie salad is so easy to make and tastes great! We aren’t big fans of cooked broccoli, but we really enjoy raw broccoli. This Broccoli Cranberry Slaw is perfect for us! I can see why this is side dish is so popular at the cafe. You could even add some cooked chicken to this recipe and make this a meal! YUM! I can already tell you that this will be a staple in our house. SO good!!!
How to Make Broccoli Cranberry Slaw From Scratch
The base of this recipe is a couple of bags of broccoli slaw mix. To that, you are going to add fresh parsley, green onions, dried cranberries, almonds, and grape tomatoes.
The broccoli slaw dressing is very simple to make and very delicious. It is a combination of mayonnaise, seasoned salt, apple cider vinegar, and a little sugar. Feel free to swap the mayonnaise for Greek yogurt if you are watching your calories.
Toss the veggies and dressing together and refrigerate a few hours before serving.
- Where is Broccoli Slaw in the grocery store? It is typically in the produce section with the prepackaged salad and coleslaw mix. I have seen it at Walmart, Publix, and Target. You shouldn’t have a hard time finding broccoli slaw mix. It is a very common grocery item.
- Can Broccoli Slaw be made in advance? Absolutely! You can make this Broccoli Cranberry Slaw several days in advance and store covered in the refrigerator. I like to make a batch on Sunday and eat on it all week.
- Can I freeze Broccoli Slaw? I don’t suggest freezing this Broccoli Cranberry Slaw. Mayonnaise-based salads like this don’t taste as good after thawing.
- What can I substitute for the mayonnaise in the dressing? You can substitute plain Greek yogurt for some or all of the mayonnaise in this recipe.
