Easy Chicken Dinner

If you like buffalo chicken dip, you are going to LOVE this easy buffalo chicken pasta recipe! This is super easy to make and has tons of great flavor! Chicken and pasta tossed in a creamy buffalo tomato sauce. It is SO easy to make and tastes great! I made this for dinner last week and everyone gobbled it up. Give this a try the next time you need an easy recipe the whole family will enjoy.

How to Make Stovetop Buffalo Chicken Pasta

This pasta dish only has a few simple ingredients and is on the dinner table in about 20 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights! Cook pasta in a large pot over medium-high heat according to the package directions for al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside. 

Season chicken with lemon pepper on both sides. In a large skillet, add olive oil and cook chicken over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Remove chicken from pan and chop into small pieces. Set aside. 

In the same skillet add more olive oil, chopped shallots, and minced garlic. Saute for 3 minutes over medium heat. Add Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, buffalo wing sauce, and chopped chicken to the skillet. Simmer over medium-low heat for 10 minutes. Stir in heavy cream. Toss in cooked penne pasta. Top with grated parmesan cheese.

  • You can use any kind of pasta that you prefer.
  • You can use boneless skinless chicken breastschicken thighs, or chicken tenderloins.
  • To cut down on the cooking time, substitute some rotisserie chicken or leftover chicken.
  • Can substitute ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder for fresh minced garlic.
  • Garnish the pasta with some mozzarella cheese, blue cheese crumbles, cheddar cheese, fresh parsley, green onions. or a drizzle of ranch dressing.
  • I use Frank’s red hot sauce.
  • Is Buffalo Chicken Pasta spicy? This pasta sauce is kind of spicy. If you are sensitive to heat, make sure to reduce the amount of buffalo sauce. I used 3 tablespoons of Frank’s Wing Sauce and it was kicking! You might want to start with one tablespoon and add more gradually as you taste the sauce.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
    • Add a splash of chicken broth when reheating to loosen up the sauce.

This pasta dinner has quickly become one of our favorite recipes. We have made this several times and can’t get enough of it. It is great for an easy dinner. This is also a great meal to double or triple for your game-day crowd! Garnish the pasta with some green onions, ranch salad dressing, blue cheese dressing, or a little extra buffalo sauce.

  • In a large skillet add olive oil, shallot, and garlic. Saute for 3 minutes. Add Worcestershire, tomato sauce, wing sauce and chicken to skillet. Simmer over medium-low heat for 10 minutes. Stir in heavy cream.
