Easy Chicken Marinade

I love spicy food, especially buffalo chicken. This Buffalo Lime Chicken is marinated in wing sauce and lime juice. I loved the zing the lime juice gave the chicken. I was worried that the chicken would be super hot, but it really wasn’t. It had a great buffalo sauce flavor to it.

How to Make Buffalo Lime Chicken

This chicken was so easy to make. I had everything in the pantry and was able to just throw this together in minutes. Simply whisk together hot sauce, lime juice, garlic, olive oil, and salt. Pour the mixture over the chicken and marinate in the refrigerator a few hours to overnight.  I cooked the chicken in a sauté pan, but these would also be great grilled.

  • You can use any cut of chicken that you prefer – tenders, breasts, thighs, wings, or legs. You can use boneless or bone-in chicken.
  • To cook tenders in the skillet: heat some olive oil in a skillet and cook the chicken 3 to 5 minutes per side.
  • To cook chicken breasts in the skillet, heat some olive oil in a skillet and cook the chicken 3 to 5 minutes per side. Place the chicken on a rimmed baking sheet and bake at 400ºF for 10 minutes.
  • Cook the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF.
  • I used Frank’s hot sauce. You can also use Frank’s wing sauce.
  • Is Buffalo Chicken Marinade low-carb? Yes! All of the ingredients are low carb and keto-friendly.
  • Is Buffalo Lime Chicken gluten-free? Yes. Make sure to use a gluten-free hot sauce, such as Frank’s, for a gluten-free dish.
