Pin This RecipeI’ve had this recipe for ages, but I haven’t made it in a really long time. Chicken Legs was talking about it the other day, so I decided to make it for him. This is super easy and doesn’t require any baking! That is a huge plus in this heat!
This Butterfinger Pie only has 4 ingredients. I used a pre-made graham cracker crust, and this came together in minutes. The hardest part of this recipe was waiting for the pie to set up! It was pure torture! The pie is so light and creamy; that makes it SO easy to eat!
No Bake Butterfinger Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 (9-inch) pre-made graham cracker pie crust
- 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 (12-oz) container cool whip, thawed

Instructions:
- Combine softened cream cheese, cool whip and 6 crushed Butterfingers. Spoon into prepared graham cracker crust. Top with remaining crushed Butterfinger.
- Chill at least 4 hours.

I wonder if this would freeze well?
I’ve never frozen this, so I can not say with certainty how it works. If you try it, let us know how it tastes after freezing.
Are you beating the ingredients with a hand mixer?
You can either use a mixer or do it by hand
Caramel ice cream topping drizzled on top. TA DA!
I was just telling my grandson that modifying my Snicker Pie with Butterfingers would probably be a great pie! I have made a great Snicker pie for years that uses the base cream cheese and cool whip but adds peanut butter and chopped snicker bars. I'm going to have to try this Butterfinger pie!
I'm sure this is delicious !It has 2 of the same ingredients as Snickers Dip just substituting the candy 🙂 Gonna try this real soon !!!!
jenmcnatt3…I was wondering the same thing. Did you try freezing? I'm curious how it turned out.
can this pie be frozen? I will be traveling on Thursday and last year when I made it and traveled with it, it got melty. So I thought I may freeze Wednesday so when I travel Thursday it wont happen again.
When you say "chill" do you mean put in the refrigerator or the freezer? I know that sounds silly! Cannot wait to try this!
I put it in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
Does this set up like a cheesecake?
LVZell – it does set up after being refrigerated.
Waiting is the hardest part…:(
Lori – isn't it! It is pure torture!
I've been making this pie for years, it's so easy. You are right, the hardest part is waiting for it to set up!
Thanks, Steph! I did 2/3 of the recipe AND made with the Reese's cups. It turned out great! Had to take baby steps to make it the full four hour waiting period, ugh.
Thank you 🙂
p.s. Next time I won't be cheap and will buy the Cool Whip brand…
Ray – there is a 12oz container of cool whip.
My generic cool whip is 8 oz. I didn't even look when I bought it. Does real cool whip come in 12 oz? Or did you use 1 1/2? Thanks for info!
I would just buy 2 store brand and take out half.. you can use the cool whip on something within 2 weeks or refreeze it.. next time you would just need 1 8 oz store brand whipped topping
Couldn't wait to try this. Bought the ingredients. Just got ready to make this. I only bought 2 candy bars. I hadn't looked at how much it needed, but thought surely 2 would be plenty. Wow, I was so shocked that this uses so much candy! Sad face insereted here!
Butterfinger was my favorite candy bar, then I developed an allergy to peanuts. Man this looks so good.
This looks so good, can't wait to try it!
This looks so yummy and it perfect for the summer! I try not to run the over in the summer, so I'm definitely pinning this for the future 🙂
Ray – I would think so. I bet it will be AMAZING with Reese's cups!
Thinking of doing this with Reese's cups! Should be same formula, right? Thanks!
I need this in my life. Obsessed with Butterfingers!
Oh my….. Genius recipe!!!
Simply delicious! What a way to start the day. Can't wait to try this one out.
Have a great weekend.
Wishes for tasty dishes,
