Cheesy Bacon and Brown Sugar Crackers – so good! You can’t eat just one!!! Townhouse crackers stuffed with cheddar cheese, wrapped in bacon and topped with brown sugar. These are always a hit at parties!!! Sweet and Savory in every bite! #bacon #appetizers #tailgating
These Cheesy Bacon and Brown Sugar Crackers should come with a warning label. O-M-G! SO good!!! I mean how could cracker stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon and brown sugar be bad? I made these for a holiday party and they flew off the plate!
The key to making these Cheesy Bacon and Brown Sugar Crackers is to bake them on a cooling rack on top of a baking pan. This helps keep the bacon and crackers crispy and not absorb all the grease coming out of the bacon.
What I love about this recipe is that you can make as many of these as you like. I used the whole box of crackers and they were no leftovers! Make these for your Super Bowl Party this weekend. I promise you won’t be disappointed!!
Cheesy Bacon and Brown Sugar Crackers
- 1 box Town House Crackers (96 crackers)
- 24 slices bacon, cut in half
- 1 (8-oz) block cheddar cheese, cut into 48 slices
- ½ cup brown sugar
Preheat oven to 250. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a cooling rack on top.
- Place one cheese slice on top of cracker. Top with another cracker.
- Wrap each cheese stuffed cracker stack in a half slice of bacon and place it on the rack.
- Repeat with remaining crackers and cheese.
- Sprinkle all crackers with brown sugar.
Bake for 2 hours or until bacon is crispy.
I make a very similar recipe and you can freeze the cooled crackers. Reheat for 10 minutes at 250 and they are good to go. This type of thing seems to work better with really thin bacon – if you can find it.
Can’t wait to try this variation!!!
How long do you really bake these for? I'm sure it's not 2 hours, but that's what the recipe says.
I really baked them for 2 hours like the recipe says
