A few years ago, Chick-fil-a took their coleslaw off the menu in favor of healthier options. When they removed it, they posted the recipe on their website. I took a screenshot of the recipe just in case I wanted to make it. Well, I finally whipped up a batch. OMG! This is a really good coleslaw. Perfect as a side dish for a summer cookout or on top of a BBQ sandwich.
Will Chick Fil A bring back coleslaw?
While we can hope and speculate, it ultimately depends on Chick-fil-A’s strategic decisions and customer demand. Given their focus on healthier options, such as their kale salad, it may be less likely. However, with popular demand and nostalgia, there’s always a chance they could bring back their beloved menu item in the future. Only time will tell!

I make my own slaw mix with diced cabbage, shredded carrots, diced red pepper and diced sugar snap peas. Then added this dressing and the result was amazing!! Will definitely use this recipe again!!
My “go to” cole slaw recipe. Always gets compliments at get togethers and so easy to put together using pre made salad. Easy to cut in half if you need a smaller amount. Thanks for sharing!!
This is the best slaw. I was using KFC slaw but this is over the top. Thanks for sharing. BTW if you want to use the BEST mayo use Dukes. It’s a southern staple her in South Carolina.
This Recipe is delicious. I’ve always used Cider Vinegar but White Distilled is so much better. I did add Celery Salt and lots of Fresh Cracked Black Pepper but that’s just me. Great recipe!
Ya’ll do yourself a big flavor favor, us tarragon vinegar instead of the white vinegar.
I have been trying to make coleslaw just like chick-fi-a-coleslaw, since they took it off the menu, I miss it so much. Thank you Brenda, for finding it and putting it in a recipe. I find it delicious and easy to make. My problem was the mayo. Some are watery, some are thick, etc. I find Kraft mayo light, or regular,as for vinegar, I use Nakano rice vinegar, It’s perfect. Thank you. Gail
Thank you so much for your recipes. The coleslaw dressing is delicious. I’m an 84 year old, partially handicapped, who still cooks after 62 years of marriage. My husband still likes my cooking and that is thanks to you. I try a lot of your easy recipes and “Plain Chicken” definitely gets the crudity. Keep up the good work.
Teriyaki broccoli is very good! excellent! My family just loves it!
I have made my slaw (and other salads to some extent) like this for nearly 40 years. I do, however, mix the mayo 3/1 with sour cream when I have it in the fridge. Even creamier! For this measure that would be 3/4 cup mayo and 1/4 cup sour cream. And I can’t help it if I use cider vinegar sometimes, it’s the Southern in me! LOL
