Chick-fil-a Coleslaw

Chick-fil-a Coleslaw – They might have taken it off the menu, but I was able to get the recipe directly from Chick-fil-a. SUPER easy to make with only a few simple ingredients – mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, dry mustard, salt, cabbage, and carrots. Can use a bag of premade coleslaw mix. Great for potlucks, summer cookouts, and on top of a BBQ sandwich. Will keep 3 to 5 days in the refrigerator.

Chick-fil-a Coleslaw Recipe

A few years ago, Chick-fil-a took their coleslaw off the menu in favor of healthier options. When they removed it, they posted the recipe on their website. I took a screenshot of the recipe just in case I wanted to make it. Well, I finally whipped up a batch. OMG! This is a really good coleslaw. Perfect as a side dish for a summer cookout or on top of a BBQ sandwich.

How to Make Chick-fil-a Coleslaw

This coleslaw is super easy to make. Start with making the dressing. Whisk together mayonnaise, white vinegar, sugar, dry mustard, and salt. Toss some packaged coleslaw mix with the dressing and refrigerate. That is it. SUPER easy!

You can use any type of coleslaw mix you prefer. I’ve made this with packaged some tri-color coleslaw mix and angel hair coleslaw mix. You can also buy some cabbage and carrots and make your own coleslaw mix.

How Long Does Coleslaw Keep?

You can make this coleslaw ahead of time and refrigerate before serving. The coleslaw will keep 3 to 5 days properly stored in the refrigerator.

  1. I have been trying to make coleslaw just like chick-fi-a-coleslaw, since they took it off the menu, I miss it so much. Thank you Brenda, for finding it and putting it in a recipe. I find it delicious and easy to make. My problem was the mayo. Some are watery, some are thick, etc. I find Kraft mayo light, or regular,as for vinegar, I use Nakano rice vinegar, It’s perfect. Thank you. Gail

  2. I have made my slaw (and other salads to some extent) like this for nearly 40 years. I do, however, mix the mayo 3/1 with sour cream when I have it in the fridge. Even creamier! For this measure that would be 3/4 cup mayo and 1/4 cup sour cream. And I can’t help it if I use cider vinegar sometimes, it’s the Southern in me! LOL
