This Chicken Alfredo Tetrazzini combines two of my favorite casseroles into one. It is the best of both worlds. Super creamy and delicious. It has quickly become a favorite at our house! Chicken, spaghetti, Alfredo sauce, cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, chicken broth, and parmesan cheese. This is quick and easy to make. It only takes a few minutes to assemble and it is ready to eat in under an hour. This is definitely going in the dinner rotation!
How to Make Chicken Tetrazzini with Alfredo Sauce
This casserole is super simple to make. Start with cooking a package of vermicelli pasta. While the pasta is cooking, whisk together cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, Alfredo sauce, chicken broth, parmesan cheese, and pepper. Stir in cooked chopped chicken and the cooked pasta. Transfer the pasta to a baking dish and top with more parmesan cheese. Bake until bubbly.
- I use rotisserie chicken for the cooked chicken in this dish. You can substitute six cups of any cooked chopped chicken. You can also substitute chopped turkey.

- Here is our recipe for Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup: https://www.plainchicken.com/homemade-cream-of-chicken-soup/
- You can use any cream of condensed soup that you prefer – cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, or cream of celery all work great.
- My favorite store-bought Alfredo sauces are Raos (regular and roasted garlic), Trader Joes, and Bertolli. I’ve also used Great Value Brand and it is surprisingly good.
- You can use freshly grated/shredded parmesan cheese or the grated cheese from the green can. Either is just fine.
- Can Chicken Tetrazzini Alfredo be made in advance? Yes! You can assemble the casserole ahead of time and refrigerate until you are ready to bake.
- You may need to add a few minutes to the cooking time if you are baking the casserole straight from the refrigerator.
- Can Chicken Tetrazzini Alfredo be frozen? Yes! Assemble the casserole and cool completely. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and aluminum foil and freeze. When ready to bake, thaw overnight in the refrigerator and bake as directed.
- This makes a lot of pasta. This is a great dish for a crowd. You can also split the spaghetti mixture between two pans. Bake one now and freeze one for later.
