Chili Cheese Pigs in a Blanket – baked pigs in a blanket smothered in chili and cheese. SO much better than a regular ol’ chili cheese dog. Great for parties or a quick lunch or dinner. Crescent rolls, dijon mustard, little smokies, chili, and cheddar cheese. I have zero self-control around this chili cheese dog casserole! It is dangerously delicious! #tailgating #pigsinablanket #partyfood #appetizer #chilidog
Easy Game Day Appetizer
I have a serious weakness for pigs in a blanket and these Chili Cheese Pigs in a Blanket are no exception. Little smokies wrapped in crescent rolls and smothered in chili and cheese. O-M-YUM! These are perfect for watching football or a fun lunch or dinner. I’ll take these over a regular ol’ chili cheese dog any day!
How to Make Chili Cheese Pigs in a Blanket
This dish is super easy to make. Separate crescent rolls into triangles. Cut each triangle into 3 smaller triangles. Top the crescent rolls with some dijon mustard, a little smokie, and roll up. Place in a baking dish and bake until golden brown. Remove from the oven and spoon chili on top of the crescents and sprinkle with cheese. Bake until the chili is warm and the cheese is melted.
- Can use regular or low-fat crescent rolls. Make sure to use the regular sized crescent rolls and not the Grands! sized.
- I find it easier to cut the crescent roll dough with a pizza cutter.
- If you aren’t a fan of dijon mustard, you can leave it out.
- I used a can of Hormel no bean chili. Feel free to use a can of chili with beans if you prefer. Any brand will work.
- If you don’t want to use canned chili, you can use an equivalent amount of leftover homemade chili.
- You can use any flavor of shredded cheese. I like sharp cheddar or Colby-Jack best.
