You’ve never had a chocolate cookie like this before! Peanut butter cookies with cocoa powder and loaded with peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, and honey roasted peanuts. If I could only eat one cookie for the rest of my life, it would be this cookie! These are dangerously delicious! I couldn’t walk past these cookies without eating one. Valentine’s Day is a few weeks away. These would make a great treat for your special Valentine!
How to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies with Cocoa Powder
These cookies are very simple to make. Start with mixing together butter, brown sugar, white sugar, peanut butter, and vanilla until fluffy. Add eggs and mix well. Slowly add in flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and chopped honey roasted peanuts. Scoop the dough, place on a baking sheet and pop in the oven.
Tips for Making Homemade Cookies
- Use a LARGE cookie scoop or ice cream scoop to scoop the dough. These cookies don’t spread much. I found that the larger cookies are best.
- Top the cookie dough balls with extra chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and chopped honey-roasted peanuts, if desired. I like to do this to so you can see what is in the cookies.
- You can make the cookie dough ahead of time and freeze for a quick treat later. Scoop the dough and freeze the cookie dough balls. You can bake the cookies from frozen, you will just need to add a few minutes to the cooking time.
- Store frozen cookie dough balls in freezer bags.
- Can substitute pecans for the peanuts.
- Can substitute chopped Reese’s cups for peanut butter chips and chocolate chips.
