How to Make Cinnamon Sugar Donut Muffins

These muffins are super easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. Spray a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray or line with paper liners. Set aside. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and ground cinnamon. In a large bowl beat butter with a hand mixer until light and fluffy. Add sugar and mix well. Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed just until the yolk disappears. Slowly, add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk. Stir in vanilla extract. Mix just until combined.

Using a cookie scoop, divide batter into the prepared muffin cups. Bake until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean. Remove muffins from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack. Melt butter in a medium bowl. In a separate bowl combine white sugar and cinnamon. Dunk the entire muffin into the melted butter. Coat in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
