Easy Chicken Tacos with Ranch

I absolutely loved these Cool Ranch Chicken Tacos. This is my new favorite taco filling. There are only 4 ingredients and it takes about 5 minutes to make. Chicken slow-cooked in taco seasoning and ranch. I mean, how could this not be good?!?! This is super easy to make and even easier to eat. Serve the chicken in taco shells with your favorite taco toppings. Taco Tuesday never tasted so good!

How to Make Slow Cooker Cool Ranch Chicken Tacos

This chicken is SUPER easy to make. Simply place some chicken in the slow cooker. Sprinkle it with taco seasoning and ranch dressing mix. Pour a little chicken broth in the crockpot, cover and cook. Shred the chicken with two forks and serve.

  • You can use any boneless skinless chicken you prefer – breasts, tenders, or thighs are all good.
  • To cut down on the sodium in this dish, you can use homemade seasonings and broth:
  • Can I use frozen chicken? Sure! You will just need to cook the chicken longer. You might also leave out the chicken broth. The frozen chicken will release more liquid as it cooks. You can always add the broth after the chicken has cooked if you need it.
  • Can Chicken Taco Meat be frozen? Yes! You can freeze the leftovers for a quick meal later.
  • Is Cool Ranch Chicken gluten-free? Yes! The meat is gluten-free. If using store-bought seasonings, make sure to use a gluten-free taco seasoning.
  • Is Cool Ranch Chicken low-carb? Yes! Use our homemade taco seasoning for a low-carb/keto-friendly dish.

What to Serve with Shredded Chicken Tacos

I can’t stop thinking about this chicken. It is seriously delicious! I am already planning on making it again ASAP. I served the chicken in some tortillas for soft tacos. You can also use hard taco shells, tostadas, or serve the chicken on top of a salad or on some nachos. We ate this for dinner and had the leftovers for lunch a couple of days. I love making quesadillas with the leftovers!

  2. This is amazing! My husband raved. My kids don't handle tacos well, usually a big mess. So I made it a casserole. I added some black beans and diced tomatoes to the chicken mixture. Then I layered tortilla chips, chicken, and cheese X3. So so good.
