No BBQ is complete without some baked beans.  These baked beans are one of the best we’ve ever made. I made these beans to go with our BBQ Ranch Pulled Pork. They were dynamite! They were sweet, smoky and tangy all at once. This is a great dish for a crowd. You can make them ahead of time and reheat them or even make them in the crockpot. I used bacon in the beans, but, feel free to throw in some of the BBQ Ranch Pulled Pork. It would be a great way to use up any leftover pork. You could make a meal out of these beans loaded with pork.

Cowboy Beans

prep time: 5 MINScook time: 20 MINStotal time: 25 mins

ingredients:

  • 2 (15.8-oz) cans Great Northern White Beans, drained and rinsed
  • ½ lb bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 Tbsp dried minced onion flakes
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp red wine vinegar

instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan or Dutch oven.  Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.  Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
