Cheesy Bacon Wrapped Crackers

These Crack Bacon Wrapped Crackers are sure to be the star of any upcoming holiday parties! Club crackers stuffed with cream cheese, ranch, and cheddar cheese and wrapped in bacon. YASSS! I won’t tell you how many of these yummy crackers I made when I tested out this recipe. Sorry, not sorry! They make a great party appetizer or afternoon snack. You probably have everything in your pantry to whip up a batch right now!

What does CRACK mean?

If a recipe has “crack” in the title it means that the recipe has cheddar, bacon, and ranch in the ingredients. It all started with my Crack Dip way back in 2007. I made the dip for a Titans football game. Everyone went crazy over it. We couldn’t stop eating it and said it was like crack. The name stuck.

According to the dictionary, the definition of crack is “of superior excellence or ability”. We think the flavor combination of cheddar, bacon, and ranch fits this definition! This recipe is most definitely of superior excellence!

How to Make Crack Bacon Crackers

These crackers are super easy to make with only 5 simple ingredients. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a baking rack on top. Set aside. Cut a package of bacon in half. Set aside. In a small bowl, combine room-temperature cream cheese, ranch dressing mix, and shredded cheddar cheese. Spread the cream cheese mixture on to club crackers, top the crackers with another cracker and wrap in half a piece of bacon. Place wrapped crackers on the prepared pan. Bake in a preheated oven until the bacon is crispy. Sprinkle crackers with dried parsley and enjoy.

Helpful Tips & Frequently Asked Questions

  • I use Club Crackers. Can substitute townhouse crackers.
  • Baking the crackers on a baking rack on top of a rimmed baking sheet will keep the crackers from getting soggy from all the bacon fat. The bacon will cook and the bacon fat will drop down into the pan below.
  • For best results, use regular sliced bacon and not thick-cut bacon. It will take longer for the thick-cut bacon to cook.
  • For crisper crackers and bacon, pop the crackers under the broiler for a few minutes.
  • If you are sensitive to ranch seasoning, adjust the amount to your personal preference.
  • Add a dash of cayenne pepper to add a little spiciness to the crackers.
  • You can assemble the crackers in advance and refrigerate them until ready to bake. Makes for an easy appetizer!
  • Can I freeze Crack Bacon Crackers? Yes. Cook the crackers and let them cool completely. Place the crackers in a freezer-safe bag. Freeze them for up to a month.
    • To reheat: remove the crackers from the freezer and let them thaw in the bag. Place them in a single layer on a baking sheet and cook for about 15-20 minutes at 250°F.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

  1. Everyone was wild about these, but it took over 3 hours to get the bacon crispy. Any ideas of what I did wrong? Should I turn up my oven some more?

    1. You could try cooking at 275ºF. I wouldn’t go much higher than that or the cheese might ooze out. You can also pop the crackers under the broiler for a minute after two hours.

  2. I made these for Christmas Eve, and everyone loved them, thanks for the great recipe. I will definitely be making these again.
