We are HUGE fans of quiche in our house. We eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This Crack Chicken Quiche is a new favorite! It is loaded with chicken, cheddar, bacon, and ranch. It is super easy to make and tastes AH-MAZ-ING!!! I made this for lunch last week and we devoured the whole thing in no time flat! Next time I will make two quiches so we can have leftovers.
How to Make Crack Chicken Quiche
As I said this is super easy to make. Place some chopped chicken, bacon, and cheddar cheese in the bottom of a frozen pie crust. Whisk together eggs, milk, and ranch dressing. Pour the egg mixture over the chicken. Pop the quiche in the oven and bake.
- What does “crack” mean? Crack refers to the combination of cheddar, bacon, and ranch. It all started with Crack Dip way back in 2007. If a recipe has “crack” in the title it means it has cheddar, bacon, and ranch and is really, really good!
- You do not need to thaw the frozen pie crust before baking the quiche.
- Let the quiche rest about 5 or 10 minutes before slicing. It will hold together better if it isn’t piping hot.
- Feel free to add broccoli or spinach to the mix.
- To make prep a breeze, I use rotisserie chicken and precooked bacon. I get both in bulk at Costco. I can have this quiche ready to bake before the oven has preheated.
- What brand of ranch dressing do you use? I like Ken’s ranch dressing and Hidden Valley.
- Here is our recipe for Homemade Outback Ranch Dressing: https://www.plainchicken.com/copycat-outback-ranch-dressing/
- Can quiche be made in advance? Yes! You can assemble the quiche and refrigerate it overnight.
- Can quiche be frozen? Yes! You can actually freeze the quiche unbaked. To bake after freezing, thaw completely and bake as directed below. You can also freeze the baked quiche. To reheat, thaw and cover with foil. Bake at 350ºF for 30 to 40 minutes, until warm.
- Can I make this quiche without the crust? Yes! If you need a gluten-free, low-carb, or keto-friendly dish, you can bake this quiche in a greased pie plate.
What to Serve with Quiche
We like to serve this quiche with pasta salad, grape salad, green beans, or biscuits. It just depends on the time of day we eat it. Here are a few of our favorite recipes from the blog that go great with this quiche:

Can refrigerated pie crust be used?
sure
Made this today, added cooked spinach, small chopped onion and garlic. It’s in the oven for now ☺️.
So simple to put together & tasty. Also good reheated.
This was easy and delicious! I was looking for an easy picnic meal and didn’t want the standard sandwiches or fried chicken. This quiche was awesome! I made one with the recipe as is and another by substituting swiss, ham and blue cheese dressing and a little Italian seasoning. Both were fabulous and received rave reviews. I will definitely be keeping this one in my recipe rotation.
Should I freeze it before or after baking?
Your choice. As I said in the post, I always freeze them unbaked
It is really good! I made it with a thawed crust and it still took an hour to cook. Everyone liked it.
How about making this without the crust? My husband is gluten intolerant so I'm looking for new dinner ideas. I'm thinking about substituting leftover turkey in place of the chicken as well. How long to bake w/o crust??
I substitute broccoli for the bacon when I make it and sometimes add mushrooms, and it is wonderful!
Oh, I also add chopped onion, too…delish!
I don't think of quiche as a quick make dinner — but so smart to use the frozen pie crust and smart to freeze the whole thing for later too! Yum!
