These Crack Chicken Roll-Ups are one of our favorite weeknight meals. This casserole is so easy to make and it tastes fantastic!!! Frozen chicken fingers, cheddar cheese, bacon and ranch wrapped in crescent rolls topped with a yummy sauce. My favorite!!
I used frozen chicken fingers in this recipe. There is no need to thaw the chicken before assembling and baking. The chicken will cook while the casserole bakes. Talk about easy dinner prep!! To make the roll-ups, place a piece of cheese, bacon, and the chicken tender on a crescent roll and roll it up. Place the crescent rolls in a baking dish and top with the sauce. Pop the dish in the oven and dinner is done.
We served this chicken with some Roasted Green Beans and Homemade Chicken Rice-A-Roni. This is seriously one of our favorite meals. It is so quick and easy to make and it tastes great! Here are a few more of our favorite side dishes that go great with this casserole:

I just tried these. I was a little skeptical, but I was wrong. SO easy and delicious. I did change a couple things….I used cream of chicken soup with herbs and I used cream instead of milk. This recipe is a keeper! Thank you!
Tried this last night but it didn’t say to precook the bacon. I had what looked like raw bacon wrapped around the chicken tender! Also, the tyson chicken tenders I had, were kind of large (yours look very small compared)
The ingredients call for COOKED bacon, so it most definitely says to precook the bacon. I can not control the size of the chicken strips in bags of frozen chicken. You can always cut them if they are too big.
Love all the recipes, keep then coming. Thanks
Can you use leftover cooked chicken tenders?
Yes – that would be good. Enjoy!
Soooo good 😋 I didn’t use bacon and mixed the cream of chicken soup with milk and pepper jack cheese. Hubby went back for 3 plates. It’s a keeper!
Made this tonight for dinner and it was delicious!! Thanks for the great recipe, have followed your blog for years and made so many of your dishes, always with great success!
Has anyone ever tried prepping this dish in the morning, keeping it in the fridge till dinner, and then baking it? I would like to make it ahead but wasn’t sure how crescent rolls hold up with the sauce on top.
Can this be made without the cream of chicken soup and milk poured over it?
I tried this recipe tonight with the only change being I didn't have frozen chicken strips so I used a boneless skinless chicken breast (thawed) and cut it into 8 strips and oh my goodness it was a hit!!! The chicken was tender, the bacon and cheddar along with the crescent rolls and sauce… I served it with mashed potatoes and green beans.
Definitely a keeper! Thank you for sharing…
Hard to roll up the crescent roll with a frozen chicken tender. What am I doing wrong??
Quick question! What are the other 2 tablespoons of ranch for?? Should they be mixed with the cream of chicken soup and milk at the end?? Thank you! 🙂
You were going to use 1 teaspoon on each crescent roll. You should only have about 1 teaspoon left over. You can add it to the soup mix or use the extra on the rolls
ahhhh, I misread the directions! thought it said one tablespoon haha. thank you!! Happy Thanksgiving!
Do you need to precook the bacon?
Can you use raw chicken tenders instead of the frozen breaded ones?
What a great idea! But unfortunately, without further recipe testing, I cannot answer with certainty. As always, please use your best judgment regarding substitutions and modifications.
I assume the chicken fingers are precooked frozen ones?
Doesn't pouring the soup over the crescent rolls make them soggy???
What kind of chicken tenders did you use?
I usually buy Tyson brand
Does the chicken tender have to be frozen? Is the chicken dry at all?
It was not dry. The chicken cooked as normal in the casserole
Yum! I actually started following you a million years ago (or that's what it feels like in Internet time) with your crack dip! Love this as a dinner option! Thanks, Steph!
could a person prep this before the time and refrigerate/freeze?
I haven’t tried making this in advance. As always, please use your best judgment regarding substitutions and modifications.
