What does CRACK mean?

If a recipe has “crack” in the title it means that the recipe has cheddar, bacon, and ranch in the ingredients. It all started with my Crack Dip way back in 2007. I made the dip for a Titans football game. Everyone went crazy over it. We couldn’t stop eating it and said it was like crack. The name stuck.

According to the dictionary, the definition of crack is “of superior excellence or ability”. We think the flavor combination of cheddar, bacon, and ranch fits this definition! This recipe is most definitely of superior excellence!

How to Make Crack Chicken Stromboli

This stuffed bread is super easy to make with only 5 simple ingredients. In a small bowl combine shredded chicken, cooked bacon, cheddar cheese, and ranch dressing. Unroll a can of refrigerated pizza dough. Press it into a nice rectangle on a lightly floured work surface. Top the dough with the chicken mixture and roll the dough up cinnamon roll style – starting with the widest edge. Place the stromboli seam side down on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown. Sprinkle with dried parsley. Let the bread cool for 5 or 10 minutes before using a sharp knife to cut it into slices.

What to Serve with Crack Chicken Stuffed Bread

When it comes to choosing accompaniments for this chicken stromboli, the possibilities are endless. A crisp garden salad with fresh greens, cherry tomatoes, and a light vinaigrette dressing offers a refreshing contrast to the indulgent stromboli, providing a balance of textures and flavors. For a heartier option, consider serving it with a side of garlic buttered pasta, which complements the richness of the stromboli while adding an extra layer of comfort. Roasted or steamed vegetables, such as broccoli or asparagus, provide a nutritious and colorful addition to the meal.

We like to dunk this bread into more ranch dressing. It is also great dipped in BBQ sauce, honey mustard, or even salsa! Whether you’re sharing it as an appetizer at a game day party or as a comforting weeknight meal, crack chicken stromboli is best enjoyed warm, with friends and family gathered around, ready to savor every scrumptious bite.
