How to Make Cracked Out Artichoke Dip
This dip is super easy to make with only six ingredients. Start with finely chopping a can of artichoke hearts. Stir together softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, ranch dressing mix, cheddar cheese, and cooked bacon. Transfer the mixture into a baking dish and bake until bubbly.
- Use high-quality mayonnaise in this dip. I suggest Hellman’s or Duke’s.
- I used a food processor to finely chop the artichoke hearts.
- If you are sensitive to ranch dressing mix, adjust the amount to your personal preference.
- Here is our recipe for Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix: https://www.plainchicken.com/homemade-ranch-dressing-mix/
- You can substitute turkey bacon for the bacon in this dip.
- I used precooked bacon. I buy it in large bags at Costco and Sam’s. If you want to cook your own bacon, you will need about a pound.
- Can Artichoke Dip be made in advance? Yes! You can assemble the dip ahead of time and refrigerate it overnight before baking.
- Is Artichoke Dip low-carb? Yes! All of the ingredients are low-carb, keto-friendly and gluten-free.
What does CRACK mean?
If a recipe has crack in the title it means that it has cheddar, bacon, and ranch in the recipe. It all started with my Crack Dip way back in 2007. I made the dip for a Titans football game. Everyone went crazy over it. We couldn’t stop eating it and said it was like crack. The name stuck. The flavor combination is amazing. This artichoke dip is no exception.
What to Serve with Baked Cheese Dip
I am obsessed with this dip. It has quickly become a favorite at our house. I could make a meal out of just this yummy dip. In fact, I did eat this as my lunch the day I made it for the blog. I just couldn’t stop eating it!
We serve the dip with some corn chips and tortilla chips. This is also great with our favorite Spicy Snack Crackers – YUM! If you are on a low-carb or gluten-free diet, use some celery sticks or bell pepper slices. Give this recipe a try the next time you need a quick and easy dip for a crowd.
