  1. Loved this recipe and so easy. Needed to use up fresh lemons and juiced them, will decrease the amount of lemon juice next time, didn’t realize how tart it would taste but still good. Used chicken tenders and served over brown rice with fresh green beans.

  2. Love love this recipe! I made it with chicken thighs Bone in and skin on. I also used lemon zest and substituted fresh dill for the capers. Served this with rice and broccoli and oh goodness it was so delicious! We will be having this once a month for sure ♥️

  3. Love love loved it! What a great Friday night dinner, easy and delicious after a long week of work. Served it over jasmine rice cooked with chicken broth instead of water, buttered peas on the side. Used frozen boneless chicken breast and cooked for 8 hours on low. Perfect! Thanks for something different from the crockpot!

  4. Can I use frozen chicken? I might try it & see how it turns out tonight. Just wondering if anyone else has? Thanks:)

    1. I am using frozen chicken. If there is too much watery sauce I am going to add 4 ounces of cream cheese (lowfat) at the last hour.

  5. Just made…SUPER bland!! Trying to figure out if using fresh lemon juice was the problem?! Will try again and doctor it up a little.

  6. I made this the other night and it was delicious! My husband loved it too (and he makes me work hard for compliments!). I will second a previous commenter – my chicken was definitely done after just 4 hours on low. However, I switched it to warm and it kept nicely for another 2.5 hours 'til it was time to eat. Probably not a great recipe for a work day (unless you're able to use a timer), but definitely worth making!

  7. we had this tonight. i doubled the lemon juice and chicken broth for extra sauce. the flavor was overwhelmingly strong.

  8. ha ha I saw crockpot in the recipe and thought, "This time of the year? Chicken Legs must be sick or their grill is broken."

But yeah, it's too hot to be doing too much cooking. It looks like it turned out great!

  9. I'm making this Friday.

I used your Chicken Rollups #2 recipe last night and they turned out AMAZING!!!

Thanks for all your great recipes!

  10. Mrsblocko – if you use Italian dressing I would omit the chicken broth. I think it would be OK.

  11. ?????

    Um. Okaaaaaaaaay.

Aaaaanyhow…I'm curious, do you think you could use actual Italian salad dressing in the recipe? Or would that make it too soupy/oily?
