How to Make Parmesan Green Beans

This side dish is effortless to make with only a few simple ingredients. Trim the fresh green beans and place them in a single layer in a baking pan or rimmed baking sheet. Spread mayonnaise over the beans. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and paprika. Season with sea salt and black pepper, if desired. Roast in a preheated oven until crisp-tender.

    • I prefer Duke’s or Hellmann’s Mayonnaise.
  • Variations:
    • Toss the green beans in some olive oil or avocado oil before adding them to the pan.
    • Add a few teaspoons of lemon juice.

    • Add some sliced almonds on top.
  • Can Roasted Green Beans be made in advance? Yes! You can assemble the dish ahead of time and refrigerate it overnight.

  1. Love it. I mixed the mayo with the grated Parmesan and garlic powder. I then sprinkled the paprika, some seasoned bread crumbs, and some fresh shredded Parmesan.Threw a bit more garlic powder on top of that. Yummy!

  2. I made this last night and pare the recipe down for 1 person so I wouldn’t have so many leftovers. Loved it and it turned out so pretty!

  3. Can you mix the mayo and parm? This looks so good! I’m going to see if the store has fresh green beans in yet just to try them for our Sunday dinner.

    1. I have not made this with frozen green beans. I would use the same amount of frozen as fresh. I am not sure how long frozen green beans need to cook. You will need to play with the cooking time.

      1. I made this today, but I like the beans more done, I would probably par boil them next time, just so they are softer “ just personal preference”, but they are really really good. My sister made it first and put mushrooms across the top.

  4. Yum! i love green beans and garlic – would definitely add the garlic salt! can't wait to try these!
