These Dr Pepper Baked beans are the perfect side dish for all your summer cookouts! Tender beans baked in a sweet and savory sauce. I made them for a dinner a few weeks ago and everyone LOVED them! Pinto beans, kidney beans, cannellini beans, onions, garlic, dijon mustard, brown sugar, cider vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and Dr Pepper soda. SO much amazing flavor! I could make a meal out of these delicious beans! This easy recipe has quickly become a family favorite!

How to Make Dr Pepper Baked Beans

These beans are super easy to make with only a few flavorful ingredients. Drain and rinse canned pinto beans, kidney beans, and cannellini white beans. In a Dutch oven or large oven-safe pot, combine beans, onions, garlic, dijon mustard, brown sugar, cider vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and Dr Pepper soda. Stir until combined. Season with kosher salt and black pepper. Bring the bean mixture to a boil over medium heat. Transfer the pot to the oven and bake uncovered until the sauce has thickened.

  • 2 Tbsp dried minced onion flakes
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 (15-oz) cans pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 (15-oz) cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 (15-oz) can cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 (12-oz) cans Dr Pepper soda
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar firmly packed
  • 2 Tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 425ºF.
