How to Make Peach Cobbler from Scratch

This dessert is very easy to make. Place some sliced peaches in the bottom of a baking dish. Drizzle with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon. Whisk together self-rising flour, sugar, and milk. Pour the batter over the peaches and bake.

  • Can use fresh or thawed frozen peach slices. I have not made this with canned peaches, but I assume they would work just fine.
  • Feel free to add some fresh blueberries and/or blackberries to the cobbler.
  • To make homemade self-rising flour: combine 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1½ tsp baking powder, and ¼ tsp salt
  • This cobbler is best enjoyed the day it is made. Store leftover cobbler in the refrigerator.

Easy Peach Cobbler – the perfect summer dessert. It is super simple to make and tastes AMAZING! This only has 6 ingredients – peaches, butter, cinnamon, flour, sugar, and milk. It only takes a minute to make and is ready to eat in under an hour. Great for all of your summer cookouts, dinner parties, and potlucks. Serve with some vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream. Ingredients:

  • 4 cups sliced peaches
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • cup milk

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Spread fruit in the bottom of the baking dish. Drizzle with melted butter; stir to coat. Sprinkle with cinnamon and set aside.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and milk to make a thin batter, adding a little more milk if necessary. Pour batter over fruit.
  • Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until edges are golden and the center is set. Let cool for 15 to 20 minutes; fruit will be very hot. Serve warm as is, or topped with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes:

  • Can use fresh or thawed frozen peach slices. I have not made this with canned peaches, so I do not know how this turns out with canned peaches.
  • Feel free to add some fresh blueberries and/or blackberries to the cobbler.
  • To make homemade self-rising flour: combine 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1½ tsp baking powder, and ¼ tsp salt
  • Store leftover cobbler in the refrigerator.

  1. Made this peach cobbler for the first time and it was incredibly delicious and soooo easy! FYI…I used canned peaches, drained the syrup and plopped them in. It tasted like I used fresh peaches. Can’t wait to try different berries;)
