Easy Weeknight Dinner Recipe

This easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Casserole has been on repeat at our house. I made it last month and we absolutely LOVED it. We’ve made it several times since then and just can’t get enough of it. Chicken, garlic soup mix, cream of chicken, sour cream, parmesan cheese, and garlic croutons. I mean, how could this be bad? Best of all this casserole is ridiculously easy to make and ready to eat in about 30 minutes! Win Win!

How to Make Garlic Parmesan Chicken Casserole

As I said, this casserole is super easy to make. Simply mix together cooked chopped chicken, Lipton Savory Herb and Garlic Soup Mix, cream of chicken soup, cream of chicken soup, and parmesan cheese. Spread the mixture into a baking dish. Top the casserole with crushed garlic croutons and more parmesan cheese and bake.

  • I used a rotisserie chicken for the cooked chicken in this recipe.
  • I used a packet of Lipton Savory Herb with Garlic Soup & Dip Mix in this dish. If you can’t find it at your grocery store, you can buy it online at Walmart. It comes with two packets of mix per box. Use the other packet for our White Pizza Dip or Slow Cooker Parmesan Chicken & Rice.
    • If you can’t find the soup, you can substitute a packet of Good Seasonings Italian Dressing Mix.
    • Do not make the soup. You are just going to use the dry seasoning mix.
  • I used Olive Garden croutons for the topping.
  • You can use freshly grated parmesan or the cheese in the green can.
  • Can Chicken Casserole be made in advance? Yes! You can assemble this casserole ahead of time and refrigerate it until ready to bake. The casserole will keep 2 or 3 days tightly covered in the refrigerator. You may need to add a few minutes to the baking time if baking cold straight from the refrigerator.
  • Can Chicken Casserole be frozen? Yes! You can assemble this casserole ahead of time and frozen unbaked for later. I suggest freezing without the croutons on top. To bake after freezing, thaw completely. Add the crushed croutons and bake as directed.
  • Can this chicken casserole be made in the slow cooker? Sure! Mix everything up and spread in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 4 or 5 hours.

  1. We absolutely LOVE this casserole! We have it couple times per month. I swapped the croutons for buttered cornflakes. YUM!!!

  2. I made this last night for dinner and it was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! Thank you so much for an easy delicious casserole. It will be made again. 🙂

  3. This looks great but if I wanted to add the pasta noodles to the casserole before baking, how much more of the ingredients should I add? Should I lessen the amount of chicken and then add half a bag of pasta? Should I use more cream of chicken?
