Beer Cheese Sauce – CRAZY good! Beer, cheese, flour, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, and paprika. Takes less than 5 minutes to make. Quick Cheese Sauce Recipe

College football is here and pro football is just around the corner! It is seriously the best time of the year!! If you are like me, you are gearing up for some tailgating and football parties. Today’s recipe is PERFECT for watching all the games this weekend or for your upcoming Fantasy Football Draft parties!

We’ve really been into beer cheese sauce lately, so I decided that we needed to start making it at home. The sauce only has a few ingredients and takes less than 5 minutes from start to finish. Dangerously easy! Heat beer on the stove until it bubbles. Stir in flour and cheese. Whisk until cheese has melted and is smooth. Whisk in dry mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and serve.

Tips & Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can use any beer you prefer. I usually use Michelob Ultra because that is what is in the house.
  • For a gluten-free sauce, use a gluten-free beer and substitute corn starch for the flour.
  • I used sharp cheddar cheese. This would also be good with some smoked gouda.
  • Keep the dip warm in a crockpot for parties.
  • Does Beer Cheese Sauce have alcohol in it? Yes. The recipe does use actual beer. Feel free to use an alcohol-free beer if you want an alcohol free dip.
  • Can refrigerate leftovers. Reheat in a crockpot on low or in the microwave.

What to Serve with Beer Cheese Sauce

We served this sauce with some grilled sausages. This sauce is also great with pretzels. I’ve been seeing fun pretzel breads at the store. I just bought some pretzel balls that would be great with this dip. Give this a try at your next party. I promise you won’t be disappointed!
