A great dish for a potluck, overnight guests, and Christmas morning. Equally delicious at lunch and dinner! You will definitely throw a Hissy Fit if you miss out on this casserole!

Crescent Roll Breakfast Casserole

You will definitely throw a Hissy Fit if you miss out on this Hissy Fit Breakfast Casserole It has all the flavors of our favorite dip inside the casserole! YUM! Crescent rolls topped with sausage, cheese, eggs, and baked. YUM! Even though this is called a breakfast casserole it is equally delicious for lunch, brunch, a baby shower, or even tailgating this Fall. We’ve made it several times over the past few months and just can’t get enough of it. It might just be our favorite breakfast casserole!

How to Make Hissy Fit Breakfast Casserole

This breakfast casserole is super simple to make and only has a few ingredients. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook breakfast sausage until crumbled and no longer pink. Drain excess grease. Press a can of crescent roll dough into the bottom and up the sides of a baking dish. Top the crescent rolls with the cooked sausage and shredded cheese. In a large bowl, whisk together Worcestershire sauce, eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage crumbles and bake.

  • I used Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage. You can use regular or hot sausage.
  • Can substitute turkey sausage for pork sausage.
  • I used a combination of muenster cheese and Velveeta cheese. Feel free to use any cheese you prefer.
  • You can add onionsbell peppers, or mushrooms to the sausage and cheese mixture.
  • Can breakfast casserole be made ahead of time? Yes! You can assemble the casserole in advance and refrigerate it overnight.
  • Can breakfast bake be frozen? Yes! Bake the casserole and cool completely. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Place in the freezer and freeze for up to 3 months. When ready to bake, thaw and reheat covered in the oven or in the microwave.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

What to Serve with Breakfast Bake

This casserole is a new favorite at our house. It is great for overnight guests and holiday mornings. We usually serve this with some grits or potatoes and fruit. It is delicious with a green salad for lunch or dinner. Add this to your menu ASAP! You won’t be disappointed!

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Lightly spray a 9x13x2 pan with cooking spray.
  • Cook sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink; drain.
  • Unroll crescent rolls and press into the bottom and up the sides of the 9×13 pan, pressing seams together to seal.
  • Sprinkle sausage and shredded cheeses over crust.
  • Whisk eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well blended. Pour over sausage.
  • Bake 40 to 05 minutes or until the center is set.

  1. Delicious! Crescent roll crust turned out great and perfect alternative for potatoes. I sometimes have trouble finding the shredded Velveeta, but learned that grating the Velveeta slices works better than the block. Will be my go to breakfast casserole.
