Easy Skillet Green Beans

Green beans are our go-to green vegetable. We eat them several times a week, so I am always looking for new ways to prepare them. I made a Honey Garlic Pork Tenderloin a while back and thought the flavors in the marinade would be great with green beans. I gave it a try and WOW! SO freaking good. We ended up eating these yummy green beans twice in one week.

How to Make Honey Garlic Green Beans

These green beans are very easy to make. Chop some fresh green beans into bite-size pieces. Melt butter in a skillet and cook the green beans until they start to blister. Add soy sauce, garlic, honey, and red pepper flakes. Cook for a few minutes and serve. Easy peasy!!

  • Can I use canned or frozen green beans? Sure! I used fresh green beans. You can substitute 3 cans of green beans, drained. If using frozen, use two pounds of thawed green beans.
  • Are these green beans spicy? We didn’t think these green beans were spicy. Feel free to adjust the red pepper flakes to your personal preference. You can omit them if you wish.
  • Can add ginger to the sauce.
  • Use gluten-free soy sauce for a gluten-free dish.
  • You can add chicken or shrimp to make this a one-pan main dish.

  1. Best green beans we ever had! My husband looved these! I made them with your Spicy Pineapple Brown Sugar Chicken and my husband went crazy for the whole meal! Thank you!

    1. Oh my goodness! These are so yummy! I don’t even like green beans and I could eat the entire pan. I only had canned beans and was worried they wouldn’t turn out as good but they were delicious!
