I don’t want to wait all day to indulge in this delicious snack, so I decided to give them a try in the Instant Pot. OMG! SO easy! They have a cooking time of less than an hour. This recipe is one of the easiest things I’ve made in the instant pot. These tasty peanuts make a great snack for cookouts, potlucks, and game day. Everyone loves this salty snack!

What is an Instant Pot?

Instant Pot is a name brand of an electric pressure cooker. Depending on the model, the Instant Pot can also be used as a slow-cooker, rice cooker, and yogurt maker.

What is a pressure cooker? A pressure cooker is a sealed pot with a lot of steam inside that builds up high pressure and helps food cook in a fraction of the time of the oven or stovetop.

  • The high pressure helps force liquid and moisture into the food quickly.
  • Food cooks faster under high pressure.
  • The extra liquid and moisture that the pressure adds help tough cuts of meat get very tender very quickly.

  1. Hey.. I’m looking forward to trying these but I have a question. If using a store bought cajun seasoning like Tony’s, which is super salty, do you still add the additional salt in the recipe or would you lower it a bit? Thanks 🙂

    1. That is up to you. Since you asked the question, I would say no. You can also look for salt-free Tony’s.

  2. Make sure you use fresh green peanuts and not dried peanuts. Green peanuts are leaps and bounds better than dried. I am from SC and boiled peanuts are a huge thing here :)I make boiled peanuts several times a week during the summer. We LOVE them!!
