Pin This RecipeCollege bowl games are in full swing. We’ve been watching all the games. If you are like us, good food is a must when watching football at home. We usually eat just tailgating food as our meal while watching the games. These Mushroom Jalapeño Poppers are PERFECT for watching all the big games. All you need is some Crack Dip and some Pigs in a Blanket and you are all set!
These Mushroom Jalapeño Poppers are loaded with cream cheese, jalapeños, bacon and cheddar cheese. Seriously delicious! I made these for the first college playoff games and they were gone in a flash. I plan on doubling the recipe next time. You can prepare the mushrooms ahead of time and refrigerate until you are ready to bake. I suggest baking the mushrooms on a baking rack. The mushrooms release some liquid as they bake. Baking them on the rack will keep them from getting soggy.

Can these be made in an air fryer please ?
yes
Is it possible to use this same recipe in an air fryer?
yes
I made these to accompany a salmon fillet, and twice baked potato. The meal was absolutely delicious. This is definitely a keeper recipe… and is great for more than tailgate parties or snacking!
Could you replace the mushrooms with portobello?
sure
These are delicious. I use the Philadelphia cream cheese with jalapenos, the 8oz. carton. Also use real bacon bits.
Are these the little mushrooms
They are just regular mushrooms that I bought in the produce section
I have made these many times and they are incredible!! Could the filling be a dip??
Check out the recipe for Cheesy Baked Dip. Its cooked in a bread bowl. Similar to the filling in these. My favorite for years and haven't found anyone yet who disliked it.
I also chopped the stems and added to the mixture.
Do you think these would taste good by swapping out the canned green jalapenos and using canned chilies instead? I'm just thinking for a more mild flavor.
I think that would be fine. Enjoy!
Are these still good leftover?
DO YOU WASH THEM FIRST
I always wipe them off with a damp cloth.
Do you prebake mushrooms before stuffing
No – they bake after you stuff them
Yum! My kind of party food!! Thank you!
I can imagine these babies are delicious.
