Pizza is my all-time favorite food. I could eat it every single meal and be happy. I came across this recipe for Keto Pizza Crust and thought it sounded interesting. We aren’t doing Keto, but we don’t mind eating low-carb whenever we can. If I can make a low-carb pizza, even better! We both really enjoyed this pizza crust. It tasted great and didn’t fill us up. To keep the pizza low-carb, I used my No-Cook Pizza Sauce and just left out the sugar. I will definitely make this again!
How to Make Keto Pizza Crust
This crust is super easy to make. Simply combine almond flour, parmesan cheese, salt, oregano, coconut oil, and an egg. Form the dough into a ball and roll out. You need to roll the dough out between two pieces of parchment paper. Remove the top piece of parchment paper and place the crust (still on the parchment paper) on a baking tray or pizza stone. Bake the crust for a few minutes. Remove the partially baked crust from the oven, top with sauce and your favorite toppings, and finish baking. I suggest letting the pizza rest about 5 minutes before slicing.
- This crust is not going to be exactly like regular pizza crust because it doesn’t use all-purpose flour. It uses almond flour. Almond flour is readily available at most grocery stores and Walmart. Make sure to buy finely ground almond flour.
- If you want a crisper crust, let the pizza stone preheat in the oven before placing the crust on the stone.
