How to Make Key Lime Cheesecake Bars

This dessert is very easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. Line a baking pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. Press a can of crescent roll dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Bake for 7 minutes. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, key lime juice, vanilla extract, and lime zest. Beat with a hand mixer on medium-speed until smooth. Pour the key lime pie filling over the crust. Spread evenly over the crust.

Unroll a second can of crescent roll dough and layer over the cream cheese mixture, gently stretching the dough to the edges. In a separate bowl, combine sugar and lime zest. Brush melted butter over the crescent roll dough layer. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the top. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown. Cool the bars and chill them in the fridge for a minimum of one hour.

Lift the dessert from the baking dish and transfer it to a cutting board. Cut into squares with a sharp knife and garnish with lime slices and whipped cream.
