Easy One-Pot Dinner

This Macaroni Beef Sauté isn’t fancy, but it is a great weeknight meal. I had some tomato juice leftover from making Italian Pot Roast earlier this week and I thought this would be a good way to use it up. My mom made a dish very similar to this when I was growing up. I changed the recipe to suit our tastes (added the Italian Seasoning, basil, and red pepper flakes) and it turned out great. I will definitely be making this again – probably after we eat pot roast again.

How to Make Macaroni Beef Sauté

This dish is super easy to make. Start with browning some ground beef. Add macaroni, and garlic to the skillet and cook until macaroni turns slightly yellow. Add tomato juice, onion flakes, salt, pepper, basil, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer, cover, and cook until pasta is tender.

  • Can substitute ground turkey for the ground beef in this recipe.
  • You can use any pasta you prefer. I like macaroni. Fusilli, campanelle, and penne would also work well.
