How To Make Margarita Grilled Chicken at Home
My number one tip for grilling chicken at home is to pound the chicken breast to an even thickness. We put the chicken breasts in a ziplock bag and gently pound the chicken with a flat meat mallet. This will allow the chicken to cook evenly on the grill. No more half juicy chicken half dry chicken breasts!
As I said earlier, there are only three ingredients in this Margarita Grilled Chicken – including the chicken! Simply mix together the thawed margarita mix and taco seasoning and pour over the pounded chicken. Let it sit in the marinade in the refrigerator for a few hours before grilling.
We cook on a charcoal grill. It usually takes about 12 to 15 minutes for the chicken breasts to be cooked. It will just depend on the size of your chicken breasts. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 165ºF.

1 (10-oz) can frozen margarita mix, thawed
1 (1-oz) package taco seasoning
4 to 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Whisk together margarita mix and taco seasoning. Pour over chicken and marinate at least 2 hours.
Prepare grill and remove chicken from marinade. Grill approximately 12 to 15 minutes, until no longer pink and reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF.
I used a can of Bacardi margarita mix. It is in the frozen section near the frozen orange juice.
Add a can of Rotel tomatoes for spicy chicken.
Can chop leftover chicken and use in tacos and salads.
To cook chicken without a grill, pan sear the chicken in a skillet for 3 minutes on each side and then put it on a baking sheet in the oven preheated to 400ºF for an additional 10 minutes.
