Meow Monday
This is not the update I was expecting to give today. Nacho Man Kitty Savage passed away last week.
Nacho Man had a condition called Pyothorax. It is basically where one lung and the cavity outside the lung fills with fluid. It is not a common condition. Our local vet had never seen a case of it.
We did everything possible to help Nacho Man fight off the infection. In the end, his little heart couldn’t take it.
He passed away in Auburn when they were prepping him for his surgery. The vet and vet tech were shocked. They said he was feisty and flirting with all the ladies before surgery. They couldn’t believe that he died. They gave him CPR, but he was gone.
Chicken Legs saw him after he passed away and said everyone in the vet office was stunned and upset. The vet tech was crying with him.????
Nacho Man Kitty Savage was only with us for about a year, but we are absolutely heartbroken over his passing. He was the sweetest kitty I’ve ever had. He was so loving. Always slow blinking at me. He LOVED being on the screened deck watching the birds, making biscuits on his blanket and drooling, sleeping. and playing with Jack.
We can’t believe that he is gone. The house is empty without him.
I have an orange cat named O.J. and when I read your post my heart just sunk thinking about losing him and what you must be going through. We grow attached to our fur babies-they are just like our children.
I am so sorry about your beautiful boy. He was truly adorable, and I know how devastating it is to lose our precious kitties. You gave him an amazing, love filled life, and it was filled with joy for him every minute. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Oh Steph I am so sorry. I said a prayer for all of you. I thought because he was so young he could have pulled thru. In his short life he had the best family to live with and the best life a kitty could. Reading your posts inspired me to get a rescue girl kitty and is now my slow blinking shadow. Hugs to all of you.
I was so shocked and saddened to read this today. You aren't grieving alone. We will all miss seeing him and hearing about his life. Thank you for sharing him with us. My sincere condolences to you and your family.
I am so sorry for your lost. I cried reading your post. We lost one of our precious fur babies a couple of weeks ago, it's so painful.

Oh so sorry. I looked in on Meow Monday first thing today. Crying with you all day. Don’t know what to say other than I really do know your pain. When our little one is so young there’s just no way to make it feel better. Only time.

I am so very sorry to read this. I know your heart is so broken. Losing those little furbabies is so hard. Their tiny little pawprints leave gaping holes in our hearts when they leave us. I'm so thankful you gave him a home and loved him well.
My heart breaks for you. I have two elderly cat babies and know losing them is coming down the road. To lose a young one is especially heartbreaking. Although I did not comment last week, you and Nacho Man were (and are) in my thoughts and prayers. Be gentle with yourself and take time to grieve.
