How to Make Mississippi Chicken Noodle Soup
This soup is effortless to make with only a few simple ingredients. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of a 6-qt. slow cooker. Add a packet of Au Jus Gravy mix, chicken broth, ranch dressing mix, carrots, celery, jarred pepperoncini peppers, and some pepper juice. Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for 6 hours. Cook for 15 to 30 minutes, or until the noodles are soft.

- Can I cook chicken soup on HIGH? Yes! You can cook this soup on HIGH for 3 hours, or until the chicken is cooked.

This was absolutely amazing! I added 8oz of dairy free cream cheese and instead of a soup, it made a creamy chicken & noodle dish instead. So delicious, even my husband ate 2 servings! This will be in heavy rotation!!
I did not have the Aus Jus packet, so I substitued a can of Cream of chicken soup. It was awesome.
SO glad you enjoyed it!
I am fixing this soup for the second time now! I absolutely love it. I didn’t even know that I liked pepperocinis lol. It was a little salty, but I added some water and that solved the problem.
Thanks for sharing this recipe! Plain chicken is one of the regular websites I go to for recipes. I have fixed many of your recipes and love them all!
I love this recipe! Thank you so much. I did have some extra broth on hand because the noodles soaked a lot of it up…thank you for adding that tip.
Can you use the Reames frozen egg noodles?
Hi
I only have a pack of regular gravy mix. Will that work or should I make a trip to the store? Thanks for all you do! 🙂
Regular gravy and au jus gravy mix are not the same things. It will change the soup. You can try it, but it won’t look or taste like the photos.
Do I have to use the peppers and juice can I substitute something else for them?
You can make this however you prefer.
Is this spicy?
Not at all
Hello,
The recipe calls for 2 boneless chicken breasts. Would that be 2 whole or 1 whole (2 halves)?
Can I cook this in the Instant Pot?
I am sure that you can. I have not made this in the instant pot, so I can not tell you the cooking time.
