How to Make Monster Munch
This snack mix is super easy to make. Start with popping some popcorn. Place the popcorn, candy corn, peanuts, and Reeses Pieces in a giant bowl. Melt some white almond bark and pour it over the popcorn mixture. Stir to get everything coated. Spread the mixture out on some wax paper or parchment paper to cool. Break into pieces and enjoy.
- I used microwave popcorn. You can use any popcorn you wish. You will need 16 to 20 cups of cooked popcorn for this recipe.
- Store the popcorn mix in an air-tight container.
- The popcorn mix will keep at least one week.
- Can substitute M&Ms for the Reeses Pieces if you prefer.

Anyone know if this will stay good over night to be served the next day? Not sure if popcorn will go stale?
Thanks!
Holly – it will keep for several days in an air-tight container
Amy – this makes about 20 cups total. It doesn't have an almond flavor. Almond bark is a type of candy coating. I use vanilla flavored almond bark (I find it near the chocolate chips).
Do you know how much this will make. I seen the popcorn was 16-20 cups. I thought about making it for my sons classroom party and putting them in little cups. I was wondering if I should double the recipe? Do kids seem to like the almod flavor? I a hoping it would be a good treat to share with 5th graders.
tawnylee – I have no idea how many calories this has. I am sure it is too many! 🙂
emgill – it sets in 5-10 minutes.
How long do you usually have to let it sit before it is ready to break apart?
Do you know how many calories are in a cup of this? My mom makes it and it's soo addicting!
Jacquelyn – yes, You can substitute Candy melts
Could you use candy melts in place of almond bark? Having a hard time finding almond bark.
I assume it will keep a few weeks – its never lasted more than a few days at our house though!
how long will this keep?? I'm thinking about making a version of this to give away as a christmas present, thanks!
We call it movie munch. One of the twins' friends loved it so much he asked me for the recipe and has been making it at home for himself!! 🙂

I like your Monster Munch!
That is just twisted good, Steph, I like it.
Oh gosh, I love to make this stuff! I think it is the cause of the lbs. I gained during October….
This stuff is seriously addictive. 🙂
I had something similar a couple of weeks ago … everything was the same but instead of popcorn, the woman used pretzel-peanut butter squares. It was delicious! And so seasonal looking. We love popcorn at our house, so I'm going to try your version. 🙂
THE.BEST.TREAT.EVER! I have been dreaming of it! It is SOOOO addicting and delicious! (And easy!)
That looks delicious and I'm not a fan of popcorn!
I know I would luv this cause I like everything you put in it!
I can almost taste this – what a fun mix! I always loved popcorn balls when I was a kid and still love sweet salty popcorn mixes. And it's purdy!
I have movie butter microwave popcorn. Can I use that or would it have too much of a butter taste?
Only you can answer that. It will work fine in the recipe, but only you can decide if it has too much butter flavor for your tastes.
Neat snack. I do love that sweet/salty mix…not to mention anything with candy corn. 😉
