We had some leftover baby swiss cheese from the Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole, and I decided to make these mushroom swiss burgers. I sautƩed the mushrooms while Chicken Legs grilled the burgers. We used the same burger recipe from our Cadillac Burger and they tasted delicious! Chicken Legs loves mushrooms and he especially loved them on this burger. We always keep some frozen hamburger patties in the freezer for a quick weeknight meal.
Mushroom Swiss Burgers
4 burgers

- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ lb sausage
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 4 slices baby swiss cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 8 oz sliced white mushrooms
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
While the burgers are grilling prepare the mushrooms. In a medium pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook for 3-5 mintues. Add garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Continue cooking until soft. Top cooked burgers with sautƩed mushrooms.
