Why “Plain Chicken”?

You might be wondering why the name of the site is “Plain Chicken”. Growing up, Stephanie was not an adventurous eater and would always order chicken “plain” when she went out to eat. If anyone asked her what she was going to order to eat, her younger brother would chime in with “plain chicken” before she could answer. When she started the website, she thought Plain Chicken was a fun and fitting name.

Now, just because the name is plain, doesn’t mean the food is. We like to say we offer recipes that are anything BUT plain!

What does Crack Mean?

You are going to see a lot of recipes with “crack” in the title.

If a recipe has crack in the title it means that it has cheddar, bacon, and ranch in the recipe. It all started with our Crack Dip way back in 2007. We made the dip for a Titans football game. Everyone went crazy over it. We couldn’t stop eating it and said it was like crack. The name stuck. The flavor combination is amazing!
