Easy Peach Cake Made with Cake Mix

Stop what you are doing and make this cake ASAP! SOOOO easy and SOOOOO good! I mean really, really good. I’m not even a big fan of peaches, but I ate a big ol’ bowl of this Peach Cobbler Dump Cake. It is best served warm with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. Heaven!

How to Make Peach Cobber Dump Cake

We were both loved this easy dump cake. This dessert is great for a crowd. It literally takes one minute to make. Dump canned peaches in a baking dish, top with cake mix, cinnamon, and butter and bake. That’s it. Seriously! Just dump everything in the pan and it is ready for the oven. It couldn’t be any easier!

How to Store Peach Dump Cake

The cake is a favorite at our house. Since it used canned peaches, it can be made year-round. You can make the cake a day or two in advance and keep it in the refrigerator. I suggest warming the cake in the microwave just before serving.

Ingredients:

  • 3 (15.25-oz) cans Sliced Peaches in Heavy Syrup
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup butter, melted

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Lightly spray a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Dump 2 cans of peaches with syrup into baking pan. Drain third can and add peaches to pan.
  • Sprinkle peaches with cinnamon. Top peaches with dry cake mix – sprinkle evenly over the top.
  • Drizzle cake mix with butter.
  • Bake 55 minutes to 1 hour or until top is golden brown and fruit is bubbly.

Notes:

Store cake in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. Reheat in the microwave if serving warm.

    1. Did you drain one of the cans of peaches? The cobbler won’t be dry. It will have some liquid in the dish.

  1. You said it well when you described as heaven haha. Why anyone would want to try to make this healthier I don't know. I used salted butter too and it was a huge hit.

  2. I used about 4 cups fresh peaches with 1 cup of sugar, heated in a saucepan until sugar melts and liquid from the sugar nd peaches comes up to a simmer. Remove from heat added to the prepared pan and followed the rest of the directions as written. It turned out great!

  3. How about using canned peaches in its own juice? would that work? I don't particularly care for peaches in heavy syrup.
