Summer is in full swing, and, for us, that means lots of grilling.  Burgers are one of our favorite things to grill.  We probably grill burgers 3 to 4 times a month.   We are always mixing up the flavors, and this time we decided to make these delicious Pepperoni Pizza Burgers.

The burgers are super easy to make. Simply mix together ground beef, pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, pepperoni, and an egg. Form the mixture into patties and cook.

You can make the burgers ahead of time and refrigerate or freeze the patties for later. I usually make a double batch so I can have some in the freezer for a quick meal later.

The burgers were fantastic!  They were like a big grilled meatball sub.  We added some chopped turkey pepperoni to the burgers, but feel free to add garlic, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, or any of your favorite pizza toppings to the meat mixture.  Anything goes! We topped the burgers with some mozzarella cheese and warm pizza sauce.  SO good!
