How to Make Quick Potato Rolls
The secret to these quick and delicious rolls is Bisquick and instant mashed potato flakes. I always have both in the pantry. They make the rolls so light and fluffy!
To make the rolls/biscuits, simply mix together Bisquick, potato flakes, sugar, water, and butter. Press the dough into a rectangle and cut into squares. Place the rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake.
- Can use gluten-free Bisquick for a gluten-free bread.
What to Serve with Homemade Rolls
These biscuits/rolls taste great right out of the oven with a big dollop of butter. We also have been known to eat the rolls with some honey, syrup, and jam.
I just love how quick and easy these rolls are to make. I make them at least once a week. Fresh homemade bread is better over any other type of bread. Give these a try when you want some homemade bread but don’t have all day!

Could you use beer instead of water, as you do when making beer bread using bisquick?
I haven’t tried this recipe with beer, so I can not say with certainty how it would turn out. If you try it, let us know how it tastes!
Could this be made with a hand mixer? Thank you!
Sure!
Could these be made with mashed potatoes instead of flakes?
What a great idea! But unfortunately, without further recipe testing, I cannot answer with certainty. As always, please use your best judgment regarding substitutions and modifications.

Could these be made ahead and frozen as individual rolls, and baked later?
You can definitely bake them, freeze them and reheat the rolls. I haven't frozen the dough and baked later. Let us know how it turns out if you try it.
