Oven Roasted Greek Potatoes – new potatoes tossed in olive oil, Greek seasoning and lemon. These potatoes are SO good! Only takes a minute to toss together. Everyone raves about them!
I made these potatoes to go with our Lemon-Oregano Drumsticks. I wanted a quick and easy side dish and this fit the bill. I was inspired by the potatoes at Taziki’s Restaurant in town – these were extremely similar. They take only a few minutes of prep time and then they just roast in the oven. Very simple! The result is a tender and flavorful potato. They went perfectly with our Greek-style drumsticks.
Roasted Greek Potatoes
1 pound red potatoes – small ones
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp Greek seasoning (or oregano)
Juice of one lemon (2-3 Tbsp if you use the green bottle)
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
Wash and cut potatoes into quarters or more if they are big. Toss potatoes in olive oil, seasoning and lemon juice. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove foil and continue baking for 20 to 30 minutes until nice and golden.
Ok what's in Greek seasoning?
Salt, garlic, oregano, maybe some lemon zest

Roasted potatoes are one of the favorites of our family. The standard one is rosemary garlic, we love it. But your Greek one sounds so very good. I might accidentally spill a little feta on them.

The Greek seasoning is new to me too, but I can't imagine that's not fantastic on roasted potatoes. Will definitely be trying this one.

When I read yesterdays post, I did a search for the potatoes, so I'm glad you posted it today. As a big fan of Greek flavors, I can only imagine this meal was delicious, but I'll try it soon.
