Burgers are one of our favorite things to grill out. They are so quick and easy. They are even easy enough to do during the week. These burgers combined our “Burger Night” and “Mexican Night” into one. I took one of our favorite burger recipes and switched up the ingredients to make it a fiesta! The burgers were delicious. We topped them with some jalapeno-jack cheese for an added kick. Guacamole would also be good (I didn’t have any or we would have added it). Give these a try for your next burger or Mexican night! These would also be great for the Super Bowl this weekend.
Salsa Burgers
(Printable Recipe)
1 lb hamburger
1 egg
3 Tbsp salsa
1 Tbsp Southwestern Seasoning or Taco Seasoning
3 slices pepper-jack cheese
3 hamburger buns
In a mixing bowl, combine the hamburger, eggs, salsa, and taco seasoning. Use your hands or a wooden spoon to mix thoroughly. Divide the meat into three equal portions and gently form them into patties. Grill or broil to desired doneness. Top with cheese, grill 1 minute longer to melt. Serve on hamburger buns.
This look amazing for a new twist on the plain old burgers! YUM! Now to wait till it's warm enough to fire up a grill in MN š
Looks yummy – will be making it this week! Is that a mustard/mayo combo on the top bun?
We eat a lot of burgers. Looks good.
oh my…this looks so good! =)
I believe Bev would go a step further and say bugers are her favorite food and I'm sure both of use will love this one.
