Sausage and Cream Cheese Biscuit Bites – so GOOD! I’m totally addicted to these things! Sausage, cream cheese, Worcestershire, cheddar cheese baked in biscuits. Can make the sausage mixture ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake. Great for tailgating, breakfast and parties! Everyone loves this recipe!

Pin This RecipeI am obsessed with these Sausage and Cream Cheese Biscuit Bites. They are ridiculously good. I have made this recipe at least three times this past month. I just can’t get enough of them! SO yummy!
There are only 5 ingredients in this recipe – sausage, cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, cheddar cheese, and refrigerated biscuits. I used a roll of Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage. You can use any brand of sausage you prefer. Sometimes I like to use a roll of hot sausage to give these biscuit bites a little kick. YUM!
The sausage and cream cheese mixture can be made ahead of time and refrigerated until you are ready to assemble and bake the biscuit bites. I used Grands! Jr. biscuits – the kind with 10 smaller biscuits in the can. Make sure you buy the smaller biscuits – not the giant Grands!.
I make this recipe in a mini muffin pan. Feel free to use a regular muffin pan. If you are using a regular muffin pan, you will need to adjust the baking time. Just watch the biscuits and cook until they are golden brown.
These biscuit bites are perfect for tailgating, holiday parties, and breakfast! This recipe makes 40 biscuit bites. That sounds like a lot, but there are never any leftovers when I take these to our tailgate!!
Sausage and Cream Cheese Biscuit Bites
Ingredients:
- 1 lb sausage (I used Jimmy Dean brand)
- 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 (12-oz) cans Grands Jr flaky biscuits (20 biscuits in total)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375ºF. Lightly spray mini muffin pans with cooking spray, set aside.
- Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain fat.
- Stir together cooked sausage, cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Remove biscuits from cans and split each biscuit into to two. Place each biscuit round into muffin tin. Scoop sausage mixture into biscuit cups.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until biscuits are golden brown.

These Muffins Are Awesome Will Be Cooking Them Often Went By Recipe And They Came Out Perfect. Family Really Love Them
I made these delicious bites…they turned out amazing…will be making again & again 😛
Since my husband can’t have sausage of any kind, could I use finely chopped chicken?
How long can you refrigerate the mixture before cooking. Or if you want to have more then one day
The sausage and cream cheese mixture will keep several days. I would say at least 4 days.
So only use a half of a biscuit for each in the mini muffin pan, correct? 😇
yes
Can these be frozen then reheated for breakfast?
I’m sure that would be fine.
did this work for you?
Can you just make a large pan of this and add biscuits to the top or bottom?
Does anyone know how many this makes if you do the regular size muffin tin? And do you use the whole biscuit instead of half of you do that?
That would be up to you. The recipe on the site is half a muffin in a mini muffin pan.
Referring to SPLIT IN TWO…what does this mean? Cut the biscuit in half or pull the top from the bottom?
TIA
pull the top from the bottom – make two round layers
Can you add eggs with sausage and cream cheese
Can you make a large pan of this and just add the biscuits to the bottom or top of mixture? Have you tried that?
Can’t seem to find the Grands Jr. Biscuits anywhere. I think the normal size may be too big. Wonder if pillsbury is still making them. . Curious to know if you’ve substituted Jrs. for anything else for this recipe?
They still make the biscuits. I bought some yesterday. Looks for 6-oz cans or one 12-oz can.
I’ve used this mixture but put it inside croissants to bake and they were delicious! I’ve also done that using ground beef.
Hi! Looking forward to making this. Question tho. Can they be frozen? I tend to do a lot of make and freeze for later type things. (Even make my own tv dinners from left overs)
Thanks
Do these freeze well for later?
Just made these this morning and they were delicious I couldn’t find junior grands, in fact I have never seen junior ones before. So I used flakey Grands split them in half, put them in a regular muffin pan, baked 15 minutes and they turned out perfect
Has anyone tried making this as a casserole in a 9 x 13 pan?
I was thinking of using eggs in this recipe. How can I mix them into the recipe? Also, would I cook them for the same time?
What a great idea! But unfortunately, without further recipe testing, I cannot answer with certainty. As always, please use your best judgment regarding substitutions and modifications.
