How to Make Sausage Gravy Breakfast Bake
This casserole is super easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. In a large skillet, cook breakfast sausage over medium-high heat until no longer pink and crumbled. Drain excess grease. Spread cooked sausage in the bottom of a baking dish that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over sausage.
In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, water, milk, and sausage gravy packet until well blended. Season with salt and black pepper. Pour egg mixture over sausage. Cut bread slices into 1-inch cubes. I made this for dinner & it was very tasty. I left the sausage gravy on the side for self-serve, and put maple syrup on my teenage Son's serving instead. It tasted like a Mc Donalds McGriddle & he absolutely loved it! Thanks!
OMG! And that's how I pinned it! Love sausage and gravey. And your picture makes it irresitable!
Thank you.
Sorry, this is probably a dumb question, but if I want to make this the night before, what step do I stop at? Will the bread get soggy if I make the whole thing and stick it in the fridge? Thanks for your help!
